Dear Amy
As thou express a wish some time
ago to read the [obliterated] Ba^n^quet I have it now in
my possession & if the perusal of it would afford
them any pleasure it is at thy service hast thou
got through Guy Mamming & how dost thou like it
thy friend(excuse now) am friend William speaks
highly of thy work and as I pay considerable defference [sic]
to his task and opinion in such matters. I [obliterated]
he gratified with the reading of them ^it^ where thou [obliterated]
through I am in no haste however I would n[obliterated]
wish thee to make my difference in getting through
the [illegible] _ _ the debating society met at the school
house last evening & they honoured us girls with an invi
tation to the [illegible] which we of course accepted and were
much entertained, than with [illegible] hear the particulars
at some other time [obliterated] please let me know
about the book tomorrow by the children
It is almost [illegible] to say that they company
would be very agreeable here ^where^ thou thinks it worth while
to [illegible] is with it
