<p>Dear friends</p>
<p>Isaac & Amy Post</p>
<p>The bearer W<sup>m</sup></p>
<p>Still intending to visit Canada,</p>
<p>may pass through Rochester.</p>
<p>& I take the liberty of giving him</p>
<p>an introduction to you- For</p>
<p>several years past he has been em-</p>
<p>ployed as clerk in the A. S. office</p>
<p>in this city - & is also the active agent</p>
<p>of the Vigilance Committee, in assist-</p>
<p>ing & forwarding fugitives, in which</p>
<p>line he has done much, & will no</p>
<p>doubt meet with many in Canada</p>
<p>who will recognise him as one who</p>
<p>has been to them a friend in need.</p>
<p>His object in making the visit, is</p>
<p>to see how it fares with them &</p>
<p>their brethren, who are banished</p>
