Rush Rhees Library: Hawkins Carlson Room

Originally the Reserve Reading Room alumni who graduated before 1970 will remember spending hours in this space reading texts on reserve for class assignments. After 1970, the space was used by the Reference Department and later the Interlibrary Loan office.

The Hawkins-Carlson Room was dedicated in 2005, and is named to honor Chester Carlson and his mother Ellen Hawkins Carlson.
