I found mother and my friends as well
as usual, and I was perfectly delighted
to get home once more. I suppose Charles
wrote you about our meetings. The one
at Syracuse was the least successful.
Our journey from Albany was exceedingly
pleasant. [Mr?] Garrison, Pilsbury, Phillips, [illegible]
and my brother made a very long journey
seem quite short. [Pleas?] remember me
most kindly to Mr [&?] Mrs Jacob Post,
your husband, Mrs Humphrey's in a
word, to all of your household. Also to
your Mr [&?] Mrs [Hallowell?], your sister
and all the friends generally, and with
the hope of [hearing?] from you soon, and
