Dear Amy Thine reach’d? me in good time
and I trust the secret is in good hands so far as pub
licity is concerned My precious charge has found a
delightful change I am sure, and as far as
we [could?]she was cheerfully resigned—her pa
tience held out and her end was calm as
she desired—she seem’d to suffer with
pain thro the day and we hand
