My dear friend
[Thine ?] [both with ?] the enclosed
letter from Julia A. Wilbur, came
duly. It interested and [moved ?] me
much. I made it work while it was
in my hands, knowing how incontrovert-
ible to most minds, seems the testimony
of an eye - witness in her own hand -
writing. I read it around the neighborhood,
I copied portions to send in other [discre ?] -
tions, lastly I take the liberty of enclosing
it to a friend of mine in Auburn, who
is an officer, in their branch of the
National Relief Association for [Prudeness ?] ,
there, feeling that I should be justified
in thy eyes and the writers, for the
[Cansets ?] sake.
