Feeling that you have cast me out the darkest corner of your closet of forgetfulness. & have kept me these longer than perhaps you are aware of. I feel that I must make an effort to clam at least a small Place in your remembrance. I cannot easily forget my last visit to Rochester & tho many happy hours I spent in your Pleasant Parlour in interesting conversation with you & instructive as well it was to me.
