I have been getting a second hand Buggy to make me and my children more comfort- able and it has indeed been a great con- venience -- a luxury too, which I had not indulged in previously -- I think as you my kind friend have taken [care?] of my little [means?] thus far it is due you to know that I am now so situated that I hope to put you to no more trouble than now to please send me a draft for what remains in your hands it is not much I suppose (I don't know) after the "Colorado" speculation I trust to you -- and will reiterate my thanks for what you have done and hope to have a few lines from thee to reassure me of thy continued love and kind regard. [E'en?] tho' I have faith yet I seem to crave once in a while a black & white proof such as thee has occasionally granted me -- By the way Edward Hick has favour'd me with a clue to our friend Dr. Ingersol and give me his testimony in favor of the Man and Physician which does me good
