Case - and shall stay with Abbie perhaps all
summer - I feel as if I must work on &
Cant [sic] be idle. Will not my dear friend
Amy make [sic] some effort to obtain a com-
munication from [Phoebe?] —I think that girl
at [Mme] Crunk a good Medium - we have
none here that I know of I wish I could
get some help for my little Mary I
see Jackson Davis has some “Whispering” in
his paper but I have no means of know
ing how to act (or rather I feel of too
little consequence) I feel that I am
not stingy and would do if I [could?] but
know how—I certainly have had more
of all good times “with” [Leah?] and I dont [sic]
know but it was because it was so ex
clusive in a mix’d company I should
have been [shar’d?] out I shall be much
confined unless the little one should do
well I dont [sic] know how she can ever be well
but we dont [sic] know—warm weather dont [sic] seem to
suit her she is now failing again but I
will do all I can tho’ I dont want her to live
