The day previous to the reception
of thy letter, I forwarded a [boy ?] to
the Relief As. in New York and the
week previous another, one will go to
Alexandria, perhaps both, but under
the auspices of that [Joe ?]. so I suppose, to its
agent, who may be [Mr. ?] Gladwin.
It must have been from me, she ^miss^ expected
clothing, for on application for facts, [then ?] a
friend in Washington, he gave me her
address, [& ?] probably told her.
I would greatly prefer to send supplies
to her, for the one - man - power better still
