When did the freedmen open their masters storehouses for our soldiers I do not recollect seeing it. There never was a period when there was so much to do, & it seems sometimes as if I was standing ??? idle in the masters vineyard. The field is truly white for the harvest, & the laborers ???? are many very messy ??? dont thee think so. Every body seems to do so willingly. ??? This is a good world & so many good people in it, to be sure there are a few Rebels but they will think & do better after a while will???? be ??? when they see how good free institutions are. ^^ I have great hopes???of humanity yet ^^ In thy next letter tell us about thyself whether thee still keeps house or boards & all about thyself thee is always interesting & the thing I more want to hear Does thee write to Amy Post or see her give my love to her. About that picture I want to see it We are well, Richard? has??? better health than when thee was here, good night good by Affect thy [affectionately?] Sister Frances
