She was gaining nicely till Lucy [was?]
seized with [illegible] fever and the Mother
gave way to despair of her recovery
The child [illegible] and soon may
walk [but?] E was heartened with [his?]
[illegible] from which she suffered a
long time and for and for [many?] [illegible]
[failing?] now [Davey?] is with his [&?]
I have left to spend the [illegible] here
leaving my [worry?] for the Sisters
to enjoy have not heard
from them only been here
one week please favor me with
a line and I will try to be
able to write thee more in full
