I dont acknowledge my self any where - I dont belong any where, that is in a collective [capasity?] I just belong to the would - and to every body that does the best they can --- we have had a splendid time listening to [etlcott?] the great thinker - he made his home with us - and had his conversational [gathoungs?] - which so many even of the [chwicks?] were so benefited by -- people out here dare to think for themselves much more than East - he gave us encouragement that he and Waldo Emerson would alternately hold them amongst [us?] next winter - I am glad that you are having similar ones, every one of all persuasions are much pleased with [Alcott'?] he is so calm - so serene, and so deep - clear old passion [quakes?] - Griffith [Croper?] [illegible] Elias Hicks over again - thee speaks of Frederik Duglass - Frances out her name to a paper that was handed around here, she told me - with others to call him to Battle Creek - he is near us - is to be at [Kalamazoo?] this week, that is near - Henry Willis is very much in hopes that he will -
our people have all come home - Frances tells me that thee is coming to see us in the Spring - She as well as I will keep our minds on that - as one
