Newark May 19/69 My Dear Sister Amy [Illegible] they good Monday the 17 so of course it had laid in the office sometime for I see it was written the 3rd [illegible] Amy I had wondered why I did not hear from thee and I was expecting to get a letter telling me when thee was coming on to N. York to attend the Women [Suffaige] meeting un till one evening last week Merritt brought home a daily paper sat down and commented reading the [illegible] of their meeting that day and Oh how I held my breath to hear the name of Amy Post read on some of the [illegible] committees I did not hear thy [illegible] name but a good many names that
