In beginning my second sheet I feel some doubts to arise as to the propriety of the measure fearing lest you may have too much news or in other words that we may write something that had better not be written particularly as you hinted having read some of our letters to some for whome they were never intended and which informati on was very unsatisfactory and we heartily disapprove the measure and desire you may not do the same again

We have just returned from meeting which was rather longer than usual

information having been given that Rachel wished to see all that felt like attending previously to her departure when she was in Ohio sick she regretted the omission of a similar concern before leaving home at that time and said it was a burden to her when confined on her sick bed Oh have you heard Phebe Johnson has got back to our meeting again well now for the story about the meeting Phebe spoke first Rachel soon rose said considerable then Willet Hicks he showed in his communication that he was an old man Rachel then knelt and suplicated for our individ- ual preservation and a final admission in the realms of bliss and __ that he who put forth would go before that he would be mouth and wisdom tongue and utterance and that no attempt to speake in the assemblys of the people without the command after which our cousin William said a little The command of Christ was that we should love our enemys and do good to those who despitefuly use us and persecute us and queried with us whether we were in that spirit and a little more ____ nonresistant Doctrine It is quite a trial to Elizabeth to give William up and to him too to go we shall miss him too very much we are very much attached to him
