She spent the winter there is a good will galified teacher with a Diploma has been engaged in teaching at high wages in Mich. previous to her going to Florida we are much interested in her company and the effect on Abbie and her family has been healthful She wrote to her Aunt S.[?]K soon after her arrival here and I presume Sarah has heard from me thro' her -- so I will wait some before I write to them as the P.O. is not near their landing as [lading] place and it takes a long time to get letters sometimes her youngest daughter is quite a smart child of 9 years and is boarded at the Village of Chemung 12 miles from Elmira but we Sarah & I took a morning train and returned at 4 o'clock in the same an ["?"] passing too & fro to Binghamton her mother may be justly proud of her she is bright intelligent and fond of her book and as neat as way her mother & Aunt Elmira with her age
