Page 3 to meet her, I have been thinking of writing to her, it has seemed for a number of days as if I wanted to see her so much.
I feel Esther as if you would surely
come here before going to NY, we have got so much to say that we never can write, then the pictures I am in such a hurry to see, if I could only spend time I believe I would run down to Lockport, & stay all night with you, but as I can illy [sic]? be spared I think thee had better even??? here
Sister Lizzie is anxious to have thee
paint her an Evangeline like thine with the old city trees.??? Lizzie has been quite poorly for a week past the weather had been so warm & I pray like???? She sends much love to thee & does so much want thee to come & see us. The neighbors are well. Lizzie Merritt called here a few days ago, She is lovely as ever, She with many others are making over old clothes for the Contrabands.
