of the coming bright spots on life - with us all 3 - where is Willie and how is he - can he not come with thee - he would like Sammie but Sammie has [illegible] responsibilities now - has taken all his Fathers [business?] - and every moment is [clouded?] - his [business?] is very good - and cousin Amy I have often thought that I never saw a fine boy or one more promising to make an influential man - altho hes full of gay Spirit he is a great comfort to his mother - I wish he and Willie could be together often - [Billie?] I often think of - he has a sweet spirit, and is so gentlemanly - Sammie and he would be true friends ---- Amy - Frederick would make his home with us - as all the great men do - Frances keeps up her school - one lovely girl helps her - she has 30 and 40 - I wish [Abe?] could see the improvement and respectable [illegible] [illegible] numb, they are taught to sing - as well as read and [right?] I will send thee a letter that one of them wrote to Frances - this young man had only been to school a few months - they are nearly all from the south cousin Amy I have a fine class in oil painting as many as I can attend to - I have just [commoned?] it -- cousin Amy I often get letters from my sisters - they believe in me now - and are so affectionate - but hoe affected they have been in so many ways I love them - and am so sorry for them -
