date that I am up among the hills of New Hampshire one of the most picturesque places I have ever seen, oh the "beautiful hills" not "where the Saints have trod" but where real men and women live and enjoy life; Just now as the autumn hints are so bright, they seem to me like lovers gardens, all filled with the halo of affection — I am very happy now, have been enjoying the summer very well, among the friends of my youth, but am here now on account of sickness in my cousins family — this is my dearest cousin, and tho we differ [very?] much in our opin- ions, we love each other as the members of one family — What do you think of Mrs
