To Gov Seward August 22

Sir

The call for a Women’s rights convention to be held in Syracuse the 8th, 9th & 10th of September may perhaps have already met your eye.

On behalf of the committee of arrangements, it becomes my duty as well as pleasure to solicit your attendance at that meeting, either to take part in the discussions or to be a spectator of its proceedings as shall be most agreeable to you.

I feel that in presenting so great a humanitary movement to your consideration I need no other apology than will be found in your own heart for those who are earnest for truth and right

Should it not be convenient for you to attend the convention will you favor us with your views on the subject in a letter to myself in care of S J May, Syracuse.____Yours with very great respect

Paulina W. Davis
