word of Hannah was very pleasant to me-said he wanted her to feel perfectly at home at his house -& regretted the had not been more attentive to her-then to-day I have seen Mrs Dall & Katie- and they all tell how well Hannah looked and how she seemed to enjoy herself-and it all comforts me- still it was dreadfully cruel for us all to let her be out here so all alone-for well as I am- I can't help but feel how very alone & sad it would be if I were sick-and struggling to get health & strength- But we all tried to decide to do what was best- and now must make the best of our decisions.
