Mine eyes are spent with teares, my bowels are troubled &
my liver is poured on the ground, for the bre[a]ch of
the town of my people; when Infant and suckling
faint in the streets of the city.

         Lamed, lerning a hard lesson that
the children oppose their mothers

the streetes of the city and pour out their

How shall I witness thee, what shall I resemble to thee
o town of Jerusalem? What shall I equall to the

breach is as great as the Sea, and none can heale
thee.

Thy Prophets see for three fall and foolish things ^and^

captivity; and they see for thee deportations &
scatterings of falsehood.

         Samek an upholding [symbol] their very support ^was^
of Kingdomes of the world had their joy

All travailers beat their hands for three, they hiss &
shake their heades for Jerusalem the town of Jerusalem,
Is this the citty which they called the perfection of
Bewty and joy of all the erth?

and swallowing is turned to Expectation

All thine Enimyes gape with their mouthes upon thee
they hiss and gnash the teeth, they say we have swall-
owed, yea, this is the day wee looked for, wee have
found it and seen it.

         Gnaijin, and Eye, the metaphore is 
high lookes, which hee hath made
the Enimy by exalting his horn PS: 35.
75 that his insolency and scorn is most la-
mentable.

The Everlasting hath don that which he meant, and
fulfilled his word, which hee commanded from dayes
of old; Hee hath broken down and not spared hee
hath made the Enimye mery over thee, hee hath ex-
alted the horn of thy besiegers.
