The Carl W. Peters Papers in RBSCP

This project was made using material from the Carl W. Peters Papers (D.422) in Rare Books, Special Collections, and Preservation. The Carl W. Peters Papers is a ten-box collection that consists primarily of his sketches and sketchbooks, but also include material related to his life, career, and artistic legacy. The collection was donated in February 2009 by Nancy Miller Batty, whose father had been a neighbor and student of Peters'. The Carl W. Peters Papers collection is open for research use. Researchers are advised to contact Rare Books, Special Collections, and Preservation prior to visiting.

Though this digital exhibit drew from a variety of different materials and sources, the Carl W. Peters Papers were the original inspiration for the project. All photographs, newspaper clippings, and scrapbooks directly relating to Peters were found within the Carl W. Peters Papers. Any images of content from the Peters Papers can be clicked on to enlarge and view extensive metadata describing where in the collection the item can be found.
