[Mrs?] Post
My Dear Friend
It is sometime since I said good bye to my Rochester friends, and it was my intention to have written you a few lines before this time. This is the first opportunity I have had and the second letter I have written since I returned home, and when I add that the other one, was a business letter, I know you will excuse my delay. My time has been very much occupied I only rested one day for I found my sister waiting for me, and I went to [illegible] [illegible] a [wooden?] head as fast as I could, and my trunk is not entirely unpacked yet. When I left you I did not, for I could not, thank you for all your kindness
