Custom House Boston. Feb. 21 ~72 Dear friends, Amy and Isaac Post. It becomes my pain- ful duty to apprise you of the death of my dear wife "Lizzie" on Saturday night 3^d^ [mist?] of Consumption. And which hated disease discovered itself upon her lungs nearly one year ago. And while everything was done to check its ravages it deemed to be of little or no avail. And I am forced to accept the judgement of friends that our little daughter "Amy" must soon follow her mother with the same course. And I hardly need to tell you I have lear- ned to hate the name of Consumption
