You know my dear friends I have never been able to accept your theories upon this and kindred subjects. And ^if^ you shall sometimes find me reprising at my hard lot and fortune or mis- fortunes in this world - don't con- demn be for I would give much to have Mr. Garrisons views upon the subject and to feel and speak as he does. And I was much im- pressed with his remarks upon the occasion of the funeral and now what is to be the lot and fortune of our three little children is more than I can tell. For her equal in goodness. kindness. interest devotion and affection they never can find again. And our little dau- ghter [illegible] to realize her loss.
