If we are able to keep Amy al- ong till Spring I shall try and take ^her^ into some part of your state and let her remain two or three months. I am not in any frame of mind for correspondence other- wise. There ^are^ many things of interest to you and me of which I would be glad to say a word. and I must say from some cause [illegible] [illegible] to me, the "Woman's Rights Cause" is not advancing according to my expectations. and I regret it. for I do believe its success would be of im- mense advantage to the Country at this [illegible] causes of [illegible] independence. and gen- eral recognition Please remember me very kindly to your entire family in this the hour of heavy affliction to oblige your true friend well wisher CL Remond
