                    Notwithstanding many weeks have

rolled by in silence in regard to any commun ication between us, yet I imagine any words must be few this time owing to my great poverty. although at the same time I can say that thou art held in affectionate remembrance by me which I think neither distance of place nor length of time will prove sufficient to erace the mind is so busy and active that I often find myself mentally present with thee and sometimes viewing the scenes that are past.
