Gas & Electric
Many of the lantern slides depict the work done by RG&E through blueprints, diagrams, snapshots of their equipment, and candids of the workers. Amongst these contributions, there’s an extensive collection of blue gas flame pictures. The details of the work depicted is occasionally noted on the slides but the rest is unspecified.
For some slides there are multiple photographs taken under different lighting conditions, to show details in the slide image which are masked by the black border area.
