Plutzik Series

Ted Hughes and Richard Murphy (March 11, 1971)

The Plutzik Reading Series was established in 1962, in memory of University of Rochester professor of English Hyam Plutzik. 2022 marks the 60th anniversary of appearances by poets and novelists.

On March 11, 1971, Ted Hughes and Richard Murphy gave a joint reading, with Hughes reading from Crow.

John Ashbery (April 27, 1970)

Ashbery made four appearances as a Plutzik speaker between 1970 and 2003.
