Dance Arrangements with Illustrated Covers
Separate dance arrangements of principal melodies were published for the Gilbert and Sullivan operas. The dances included a lancers, a quadrille and a waltz, and less commonly a polka and a galop. The illustrated covers were printed in full color until the early 1880s; later covers were less colorful.
